JCS Fish (home of the BigFish Brand™) and Systems Integration (SI) have been working together for more than 5 years. During this time, we’ve seen how this family run firm has made technology work for its business expansion and customer needs, demonstrating the real commercial benefits an integrated approach within fish processing can deliver.
“The level of control Systems Integration’s food ERP provides allows us to produce fantastic quality food.” Jack Coulbeck Commercial Manager, JCS Fish.
JCS Fish is at the forefront of innovation, in the use of advanced food processing software solutions. As the business has embraced SI’s real-time shop floor data capture technology, its reputation as an industry leader in the control of end-to-end food process production has grown.
JCS has worked collaboratively with SI to help us develop solutions that are tailored just for the fish production industry.
Food ERP that’s built for the fish business
As Jack Coulbeck, JCS’s Commercial Manager explains: “JCS has been working with SI for several years on our ERP solution. The software allows us to have complete control over our whole food process, traceability, food hygiene and food quality.
“I think SI is a fantastic business to be partnered with. The level of control it provides through the software allows us to produce fantastic quality food – from smoked salmon, fishcakes and our breaded range, to our frozen, individually packed portions in a variety of different marinades.”
About JCS Fish
JCS Fish is owned and run by husband and wife team, Andrew and Louise Coulbeck. They both come from fish-expert families and were born and bred in Grimsby, Britain’s seafood town.
Andrew and Louise set up JCS Fish back in 2000 when they had the idea to make farmed salmon more accessible to everyone by preparing, portioning and freezing it. The company now employs a team of 40.
A brand going from strength to strength
Its first customers were catering companies, but BigFish Brand soon followed. With its distinctive black livery, the brand has rapidly become established in farm shops, independent retailers and online including through Muscle Foods and Ocado.
