Fairfax Meadow
The UK’s leading catering butcher, Fairfax Meadow, selected SI to connect its multi-site operations through a major investment project in real-time integration.
Fairfax Meadow’s innovative approach is designed to support continued delivery of quality products to customers, taking full advantage of facilities, spread across six UK locations.
Established 1970, from a small group of butchers in London, Fairfax Meadow has grown, becoming the UK’s leading catering butcher. Its continual investment has seen it develop unrivalled, state-of-the-art production processes and facilities.
Currently, processing and delivering over 3,000 orders per day to a diverse range of customers. The new integrated food ERP software solution, provided by SI (Systems Integration), will provide the business with a real-time view of its entire operation.

An innovation-led game changer
For Tony Carlisle (Head of IT & Systems), the planning, development and implementation phases of the integration project have been equally important in delivering what will be an innovation-led game changer for the business: “Connecting all of our sites into one system that provides real-time information, with enhanced visibility and control, is going to change the way the whole business operates.
“Throughout the initial phases of the project, we have worked collaboratively with the SI team to push the boundaries of what we could achieve. Their tacit knowledge of the meat processing industry has been particularly useful. The team understands multi-site operations and recognised the unique challenges we face as a business.
Further enhancements including improved systemised production planning and advanced industry leading traceability will also be rolled out through the implementation.”

Working with the team, we will deliver a flexible and dynamic real-time modular solution, that will future proof the business.
Rob continued, “No matter what changes Fairfax Meadow faces in the future, from new legislation, customer demands, the addition of new facilities or products, the business will be fully supported.
“We look forward to delivering this complex integration project over the next two years, working hand in hand with the Fairfax Meadow team. It is not just a game changer for them, it will take both our businesses to the next level of industry leadership in the catering butcher sector.”
The integration project is already underway, with the whole group expected to be fully integrated by 2021.
