Stock Tracker Software
By delivering a live view of whatever’s in stock, SI’s Stock Tracker enables food processors to make better informed decisions about stock positions.
For perishable food products, keeping on top of shelf life and understanding stock value is essential. With Stock Tracker’s colour-coding and real-time alerts, food processors will always understand the life left on all food manufacturing raw materials, WIP (part-processed) and other stock.
“With an average of 6,500 warehouse pallets that have to be managed at any one time, with SI we’ve gone from 0% to 100% digital visibility of stock. That’s made a huge difference to our operational efficiency.”

Reviewing age or life left on products
With the real-time view provided by SI’s Stock Tracker, it’s easy to:
- Review the number of days, or life, left on products;
- For freezer storage, look at how many months are left on your stock;
- View stock in groups or multiple areas. For example, finished goods stock, located either off-site or on-site;
- Look at multiple stock areas, including warehouses, on-site and off-site storage;
- Move bulk transfers of stock from one area to another;
- Make dynamic operational decisions, such as deciding whether to freeze or downgrade any short-life perishable products;
- Provide breakdowns of product availability across an entire site.
The live view shows what stock is available and presents a summary view of stock items, quantities available, pack dates or use by dates.
Click on any of the items, to drill down for more detail. For instance, review:
- Serial numbers or batch numbers.
- Age or life of your products, and any dates that are associated with them.
- Quantities and weights.
- Audit information.
It will even show the location and site, if it’s sited in a wrap location.
Colour-code your stock position
Many of our customers are making the most of Stock Tracker’s colour-coding to visually flag up forthcoming stock issues, such as when product shelf life is running out and action needs to be taken.
Creating snapshot stock views
Many of our customers are making the most of Stock Tracker’s features by setting up snapshot views. For instance, a snapshot that’s run at a set time each night to show the stock position, opening balance, the transactions throughout the day, and available balance.
