Works Order Processing Software
Once food manufacturing production plans have been published, manage works order processing and set up runs for each production area using SI’s Run Maintenance. Allocate raw material batches to processes, and provide live visibility of production plans on the shop floor via OCMs.
Run Maintenance connects the plan to the food factory shop floor for works order processing in real-time. This means that once your plan is active:
Production orders are visible for on OCM screens and mobile devices;
Raw material can be scanned and issued to planned jobs;
WIP can be scanned and issued to specific lines;
Finished goods can be booked against job numbers;
Downgraded products, such as trim and waste, can be booked against batch numbers.
Forwards and backwards traceability is maintained at all times.
And unlike many competitive planning systems, SI’s Run Maintenance module show a real-time view of stock, and allows for the required raw material batches or work in progress (WIP) to be allocated.
The runs will be set up for each area of production in Run Maintenance, at this point the planner can allocate batches of raw materials to each stage of the process, once completed it will become live down on the shop floor at OCM terminals. The operators will have visibility of the plan that they are working on.
Based on OCM production, the planner, management team and operators can see in real-time planned vs actual production. If downtime occurs, or amendment need to be made to orders, it’s straightforward for the planning to review, adjust and publish the revised plans, which will automatically update all OCM screens.
Run maintenance can be used as a standalone module or in conjunction with SI’s Production Planning software.
