Fresco Fisheries Partner with SI to Improve Growth Strategy
In a new strategic partnership, leading food ERP & MES software provider SI is working with Fresco Fisheries to enable them to realise their ambitious retail expansion strategy.
Established in 1989, Fresco Fisheries is renowned for the importing and marketing of fresh exotic fish and processing of high value seafood products. Based in Reading and Hertfordshire, their two businesses provide value-added products including fresh tuna, and high-quality frozen fish from 13 countries worldwide.
As part of the overall transformational project, SI will initially be implementing its new Integreater Quality Assurance (IQA) solution. IQA will enable the digital capture of data at critical control points and other process areas, with real-time conformance management. The digital output / reporting will help to underpin Fresco Fisheries exemplary quality processes with audit evidence for BRC (British Retail Consortium) accreditation.
In parallel, Fresco will be implementing SI’s Pick and Despatch solution. This phase of the implementation will enable operators to dynamically manage customer orders and ensure pick accuracy with complete traceability, particularly as it expands into the retail market.
“By Partnering with SI, we are embarking upon a digital journey to future proof our business. We have taken the decision to implement in phases and take advantage of SI’s modular software to mitigate risk and ensure we continue to meet (and exceed) customer expectations delivering on-time in full,” said Louis Christodoulou, Fresco Fisheries Factory Manager. “Despite the forced closure of the food service industry during the pandemic we saw a considerable rise in consumer demand. At Fresco Fisheries our retail strategy will provide customers with direct access to the freshest exotic and sustainable fish products from around the world.” Louis Christodoulou, Fresco Fisheries Factory Manager.
